Where we deliver in Lagos
We hand cars over wherever you are staying: at the hotel entrance, the villa gate, or a resort reception — the Cascade Wellness Resort out on the headland is a familiar stop, as are the villas along the Meia Praia side of the bay. The handover takes 15 to 20 minutes: a walkaround of the car together, photographs of its condition, a digital contract signed on the spot, and the deposit. Then the keys are yours.
Arriving by air, the pattern most clients choose is simplest of all: we meet you at Faro Airport arrivals — free, with flight tracking — and the drive west to Lagos is about 50 minutes on the A22, most of it easy motorway. Your holiday starts at the terminal door, not at a rental counter.
Honest advice: the walled old town is for walking
We tell every Lagos client the same thing before they book: the historic centre sits inside the old walls, and its streets are narrow, one-way and unforgiving of wide cars. Nobody enjoys threading a G-Wagon through them, and parking inside the walls is scarce to nonexistent.
The pattern that works: leave the car at the Meia Praia side of town or in the municipal lots outside the walls and walk in — the old town is compact and everything is minutes away on foot. Keep the car for what Lagos is really about: the run out to Ponta da Piedade, where the cliffs and sea stacks are at their best in early light, the long sweep of Meia Praia, and the west coast beyond.
The N268: the best driving country in the Algarve
Lagos has an advantage no other Algarve town can match: it is the gateway to the west. The N268 towards Sagres and on up the Costa Vicentina is quiet, scenic driving country — open moorland, glimpses of Atlantic cliff, and traffic that thins to almost nothing outside high summer. In a Boxster or a Ferrari California with the roof down, it is the kind of road you plan a day around.
Make a loop of it: out along the N268 to Sagres and the fortress at the end of Europe, up the wild west coast, and back inland for a late lunch. A Defender 110 turns the same country into a different trip — unhurried, high-seated, perfectly suited to the windswept edges of the Costa Vicentina. How delivery works
Once the booking is confirmed, we agree an exact time and place — your hotel, your villa or Faro Airport arrivals. The car arrives cleaned, checked and with its fuel level recorded in the contract. The handover takes 15 to 20 minutes: walkaround together, photographs of the condition, digital contract and deposit.
The deposit is a pre-authorisation on a credit card or another method agreed in advance, fixed per car — from €2,000 — and released after the car comes back in the same condition. The car is returned with the same fuel level it was delivered with.
On the return day we come to you, check the car over together, and everything closes on the spot. If plans change mid-rental — an extra day, a different return point — it is one WhatsApp message.

What is included in the price
Insurance
Every car runs with valid motor insurance in Portugal. The coverage level for your rental is set out in the contract; additional coverage options are available on selected cars — ask when you request your quote.
Mileage
Between 100 and 150 km per day depending on the car, stated on each model’s page. Planning the full Costa Vicentina? Tell us before delivery and we include an additional-mileage package in the quote.
Transparent deposit
A fixed amount per car, confirmed in writing before you book — from €2,000. Pre-authorisation on a credit card or another agreed method, released after the car is returned without damage.
Fuel
The car is delivered with its fuel level recorded in the contract and returned at the same level. No surprise refuelling charges.
Free Algarve delivery
Delivery and collection are free across the whole Algarve — Lagos, Meia Praia and Faro Airport included.

Can I collect the car at Faro Airport instead?
Yes, at no charge. Share your flight number, we track your arrival — delays included — and meet you at the arrivals hall with the car ready. From the airport, Lagos is about 50 minutes west on the A22.
Which car suits Lagos best?
Honest answer: the historic centre inside the old walls is narrow and one-way, so whatever you drive, park at the Meia Praia side or the municipal lots and walk in. The car is for the good part — Ponta da Piedade, Meia Praia and the N268 towards Sagres. A convertible owns the cliff roads; a Defender or Velar owns the Costa Vicentina. What is the minimum age and licence requirement?
Drivers from 18 years old with a valid licence held for at least one year. International licences are accepted. For some higher-powered cars an individual assessment may apply — confirmed in the quote.
