Luxury Car Rental in the Algarve

DeluxeDrive is a licensed Portuguese luxury car rental company based in Almancil, between Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Loulé, in the heart of the Algarve’s Golden Triangle. Every car on this page is owned or operated by us, never a listing we broker for someone else, so the availability we confirm is real and your booking reserves that specific car. When you message us, you speak directly to the team that prepares, delivers and collects it.

Being local changes the practicalities. We deliver and collect free of charge anywhere in the Algarve: a villa in Quinta do Lago, a hotel in Vilamoura, a golf resort in Vale do Lobo, a townhouse in Lagos, or the arrivals hall at Faro Airport, about fifteen minutes from our base. At the end of the rental we come back and collect the car at the place and time agreed in your booking. There are no rental desks, no shuttle buses and no queues.

Every price on this page is a listed daily rate with 23% Portuguese VAT already included. The quote you receive on WhatsApp sets out the price for your dates, the delivery details, the security deposit and the mileage allowance in writing before you book. No taxes are added on top. The only other charges are the ones set out in the rental agreement, such as kilometres beyond the allowance, missing fuel, tolls or damage.

The fleet covers every kind of Algarve trip. A Volvo XC90 or Range Rover Sport suits a family villa holiday. A Mercedes G63 or Lamborghini Urus makes an entrance at the marina. A Porsche 911 or Ferrari 296 GTS is made for an early run into the hills, and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan or Ghost is there for the occasions that call for it.

If you are flying in, the rental can start at Faro Airport. Send us your flight number when you book and we plan the handover around your arrival, following any delay, so a member of our team can meet you with the car as you come out of arrivals. There is no rental desk, no shuttle bus to an off-airport car park and no queue, and airport delivery is free, as it is everywhere in the Algarve.

The handover usually takes 15 to 20 minutes. We walk round the car together, photograph its condition, check your driving licence and ID, and set up the security deposit, and then you are on the A22 towards Quinta do Lago, Vilamoura or Albufeira. On your last day we can collect the car at the airport at the time agreed in your booking, so you go straight to check-in.

The Algarve is more than its coastline. Our first recommendation is the N2 north of São Brás de Alportel, climbing over the Serra do Caldeirão on wide, well-surfaced curves with little traffic outside August. It is the best driving road in the region and an easy morning loop from the Golden Triangle.

The second is the climb to Monchique and Fóia, the highest point in the Algarve, with views across to both coasts. For a convertible day, head west to Sagres and up the Costa Vicentina on the N268: quiet, wild and close to the Atlantic, it is the side of the Algarve most visitors never see. Most cars include 100 to 150 km per day, and the allowance for your car is confirmed in your quote, so if you plan longer drives like these, tell us in advance and we include extra kilometres in your quote.

The requirements are simple, and we confirm them in writing before you book:

Once your booking is confirmed, we agree the exact time and place: the door of your hotel, your villa, a marina berth or the arrivals hall at Faro Airport. The car arrives clean, checked and with fuel in the tank. Delivery and collection are free anywhere in the Algarve. Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra are scheduled in advance at a fixed delivery fee that depends on the car, always quoted in writing before you book.

The handover usually takes 15 to 20 minutes: a walk round the car together, photographs of its condition, a check of your licence and ID, and the security deposit. The deposit is held as a card pre-authorisation, or paid and refunded after the rental, whichever method is agreed at booking.

At the end of the rental we come to you, anywhere in the Algarve. We check the car together at the agreed place and time, and the deposit is released or refunded after the inspection, less any itemised charges under the rental agreement.
