Booking and payment
How do I book a car?
Message us on WhatsApp, call or email with the car you would like, your dates and the delivery address, and we reply with a personal quote. There is no online booking on this website. An enquiry is free and carries no obligation.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes. All prices on this website and in our quotes include Portuguese VAT at 23%. VAT is never added on top.
When and how do I pay?
The rental is paid in full at booking, before delivery. We accept credit and debit cards, bank transfer, cryptocurrency and cash. This website never asks for card or payment details.
When is my booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed once it is paid in full. We then confirm it in writing with the price, the deposit, the kilometre allowance and the delivery details. The rental agreement is signed at or before delivery.
Security deposit
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. Every rental has a security deposit, which depends on the car. Where published, it is shown on the car's page and in the table below, and your quote always confirms it. The deposit is held separately from the rental price and released after we collect the car and check it. Across the current fleet, deposits range from €2,000 to €17,250.
How is the deposit held?
As a card pre-authorisation or as a separate payment, as agreed at booking and stated in your rental agreement.
Can anything be deducted from the deposit?
Only charges provided for in the rental agreement, such as damage for which the renter is responsible, missing fuel, extra kilometres or traffic fines. Every deduction is itemised.
Kilometres
How many kilometres are included?
Every rental includes a daily kilometre allowance, which depends on the car. Where published, it is shown on the car's page and in the table below, and your booking confirmation always states it. Across the current fleet, the allowance is 100 to 150 km per day.
What if I drive more than the allowance?
Kilometres beyond the allowance are charged at the car's rate per extra kilometre. Where published, the rate is shown on the car's page and in the table below, and your booking confirmation always states it.
Insurance
Is insurance included?
Yes. Every rental is insured. All cars carry, at a minimum, the third-party liability insurance required by Portuguese law. The exact cover for your rental, including any excess, is stated in your quote and in the rental agreement you sign.
When does the cover not apply?
Optional cover and any limit on your liability no longer apply after a serious breach of the rental agreement, for example when the car is driven by someone not named in the agreement, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, outside mainland Portugal without our written authorisation, or on a race track. The mandatory third-party liability insurance remains in place.
Delivery and collection
Do you deliver and collect the car?
Yes, on every rental. We deliver the car to your hotel, villa, home, marina or the airport, and collect it from you at the end of the rental. Times and places are agreed in advance and stated in your booking confirmation.
Is delivery included in the Algarve?
For cars based in the Algarve, delivery and collection are included anywhere within 50 km of our base in Loulé. This covers Faro Airport, Faro, Almancil, Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura, Quarteira, Albufeira, Carvoeiro, Portimão, Olhão and Tavira. Your quote states any delivery fee before you book.
What does delivery cost further away in the Algarve?
Beyond 50 km from Loulé, for example in Lagos, Sagres, Aljezur, Monchique, Monte Gordo or Vila Real de Santo António, delivery and collection cost €150 in total. They are included when the rental itself comes to €2,500 or more.
Do you deliver to Lisbon and Porto?
Yes. Delivery and collection between the Algarve and the Lisbon area, in either direction, carry a fixed fee that depends on the car, from €300 in total; for supercars the fee is quoted individually. Delivery to Porto is quoted individually. Any delivery fee is stated in your quote before you book.
Fuel
Do I need to refuel the car?
No. The car is delivered with fuel and can be at any fuel level when we collect it. Missing fuel is charged at cost, with no service fee. There is also no need to wash the car after normal use.
What if the wrong fuel is used?
Please use only the correct fuel type for the car. Misfuelling is not covered by insurance, and the resulting repair and towing costs are the renter's responsibility.
Driver requirements and documents
What are the driver requirements?
Every driver must be at least 18 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least 1 year. There is no age surcharge. Additional drivers are welcome if they meet the same requirements and are named in the rental agreement.
Which documents do I need?
Each driver presents, at or before delivery, a full and valid driving licence (provisional and expired licences are not accepted), a valid passport or identity card and, where required, an International Driving Permit, which may apply to some licences issued outside the EU. If you are unsure, we confirm it before your rental.
Travel to Spain
Can I drive the car to Spain?
Only with our prior written authorisation and payment of the cross-border authorisation fee, so please ask us before you book. Once authorisation is granted, the insurance cover is extended to the authorised territory for the authorised period.
What if the car leaves Portugal without authorisation?
Use outside mainland Portugal without our prior written authorisation is a serious breach of the rental agreement. The optional cover and any limit on your liability no longer apply, and the renter is fully liable for all loss and damage. The mandatory third-party liability insurance remains in place.

The same figures as on each car's page. Daily rates are starting rates and include VAT; your quote confirms the rate for your dates.
